Principle features of Telefax’s OmniTicker
software application
- • Windows based application (supported
under 2000 or XP).
- • Can control multiple tickers from the same PC (when fitted
with
multi-port serial controller).
- • Can drive any of Trans-Lux’s range
of ticker products.
- • Display
can be inverted and/or rotated enabling: left-right scrolling
(when display is inverted); vertical scrolling
- • Single or two line display can be selected by user.
- • When
used with graphical tickers any supported Windows XP character
set can be used, e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic. With other operating
systems (NT, 2000) the appropriate language support must be installed.
- • Any
Windows font can be used for text in user selectable sizes
- • Font
and size may be independently selected for each display item or
each part of a display item.
- • Prices may be displayed cyclically or
updates may be displayed near
real-time as desired.
- • + and - symbols may be substituted by
arrows or pointers to show
direction of net price change.
- • Items for display may be edited 'off-line'
whilst the ticker is
showing a previous ‘list’ and then saved and selected
for display at a later time.
- • Each display element part may be
either; user typed text; a user
defined bitmap graphic; information received by DDE from another
application or information received from a third-party source via
a custom written interface.
- • Display elements can consist of up to four parts;
e.g Name (text);
Logo (graphic); Last price (DDE); Net change (DDE).
- • Used in conjunction
with other Telefax software components information can be received
from multiple third-party sources.
- • Display items may be suppressed
or displayed depending on user
selectable conditional criteria, i.e. only displayed if non-zero,
greater than a specified value, etc.
- • Branding (text or graphical) may be inserted
into the display as
required.
- • Internal messaging (welcome messages; reminders; alerts; etc.) may
be inserted into a display from the administration PC.
- • Common items may be changed in the entire display list to ease
editing.
- • Supports playlists and scheduled
display changes.
